    Me gustaría urgirle a usted para que utilice su poder como Gobernador para conmutar la pena de muerte -que ha sido abolida en todos los paises de la Unión Europea, incluso en tiempo de guerra- impuesta a Mumia Abu-Jamal y además permitiendo la repetición del juico.

    Le solicito que reconsidere la sentencia que le ha sido impuesta, que sea retirado de la Galeria de la Muerte y que se le permita apelar la sentencia.

    I write to urge you to use your power as Governor to commute the death sentence -which has been removed in all counties of the European Union, even in war time- imposed upon Mumia Abu-Jamal and in addition to allow a retrial of his case.

    I ask for your compassionate reconsideration of the sentence that has been imposed and that he be removed from Death Row and allowed to appeal his sentence.

    Carl Einstein

    Naquit en Allemagne le 26 avril 1885, il fit connaître dès 1915 la sculpture africaine. Ami des peintres d’avant-garde, Braque, Léger, Gris, Picasso, il participe à de nombreuses publications avec Georges Bataille, Georges-Henri Rivière. Il était l’ami d’André et Clara Malraux. À partir de 1917, fortement engagé dans les mouvements de gauche, il s’opposa à la montée du fascisme et dû s’installer en France en 1928. Dès les premières heures des combats, en 1936, il rejoignit la colonne Durruti pour combattre Franco. De retour en France, recherché par la Gestapo, il dut fuir devant l’avance allemande. Il échoua à Bètharram et mit fin à sa vie le 5 juillet 1940.

    Sa sépulture se trouve au cimetière de Boeil-Bezing dans les Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

    I write you because I’m very concerned about the injustice that has been and it’s being comited against Mumia Abu-Jamal.
    Although Mumia has filed his new appeal in federal court, he has yet to receive a stay of execution.
    Another prisoner, who just got his death warrant, filed his federal appeal and got a stay the SAME day.
    A stay is supposed to be standard procedure. When Mumia filed his appeal in the state courts, he was not given an automatic stay then either.
    On Friday, October 15, 1999, Mumia’s attorneys filed a writ of habeas corpus. In over 160 page they cited 29 violations of Mumia’s constitutional rights.

    So I demand you to :

    Grant Mumia an EVIDENTIARY HEARING

    Por la misma solicito a este tribunal que se acepte la refundición a 20 a favor de Xosé Tarrío Gonzalez (Recurso / 2/1619/99), y se deje sin efecto el auto recurrido ante ese tribunal, al ser este totalmente injusto.

    Xosé Tarrío es un preso que colabora con los grupos sociales, que se interesan por el bien de la comunidad, que desarrolla actividades culturales varias y al que deseamos tener pronto entre nosotro/as. Por la cual solicitamos a este tribunal todo la expuesto a fin que Xosé Tarrío Gonzales puede acceder a una refundición de condenas razonable y justa.

    We ask the Spanish high Court to do the acceptance of the re-cast in Twenty years in favour of José Tarrío González (Appeal/2/1619/99). At the same time also ask to Spanish High Court to cancel the appealed indictmen in the face of this Court because this indictmen is totally injust.

    José Tarrío is a prisioner who collaborites with the Social Groups. He is interest on the wellbeing of the comunity, and he olso carries out several cultural activities. We really wish he could be here with us as soon as possible.

    This is because we request to the Spanish High Court the things before expressed with the porpuse of a right and reasonable re-cast for José Tarrío González.
