Irina Kachowskaja
A granddaughter of Kachovsky, the "Dekabrist" rebel against Nikolas l who had been hanged by the Tsarist executioner in 1826 she was condemned to 15 years’ forced labour en 1907 for having fought in the ranks of the Maximaliste Union. Freed by the Revolution of 1917, she entered the party of the Left Social Revolutionaries and struggled in its ranks. She took part in the attempt at the life of the German Field-Marshall Eichhorn at Kiev in 1918. Condemned to death by the German court-martial, she was liberated by the German Revolution. She prepared for an attempt at the life of General Denikin. After the suppression of the Kronstadt rebellion in March 1921, she was arrested by the Bolsheviks
